Full House Auction

Estate Liquidation and Consignment in Maryland

“I Have A House Full Of Stuff…”

What do you do when you have a house full of items you no longer want or need? You need the space, but don’t know the sellable items from the trash. Getting an Estate Assessment done from Full House Auction can help you decide the best course of action for you to take. Having someone with knowledge of reselling antiques and collectibles go through your house with you helps a lot. An assessment usually takes less than an hour, and at the end of it you’ll know what you can sell versus what should be donated or discarded.

We also are experienced at holding Estate Sales, if that is deemed the best way to sell your items.

How to sell with us

Consignment

A small amount of items are identified in the house, and the owner is willing to let the auction house take the items to auction them. We are experienced Ebay sellers and are very knowledgeable on how to get the most potential buyers to view your items. A percentage commission is agreed on, in addition to transportation costs.   This is generally the case for jewelry, fine furniture and collectibles.

Straight Purchase

Sellable items that are identified are purchased by the auction house for a mutually agreed on price. This scenario is usually chosen by people who just “want it gone”, for a fair price. The upside to this is that it is quick, and that the myriad issues of selling online (getting haggled, items breaking during shipment, Craigslist weirdos) are eliminated.

Sweepout

If the house or basement needs to be completely emptied,  trash and sellable items alike, a sweepout is an option. The assessor will give an estimate for the auction house’s labor costs to remove everything from the house, then credit back the value of the sellable items. This option is popular for people who have recently sold a house or have a deceased relative’s estate that needs to be dealt with.
